Renting from Enterprise Rent-a-Car is great if you like reserving a midsize car and ending up with a Chevy Spark or Suburban, chosen at random. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is great if you enjoy choosing any car you want, so long as it's a Chrysler 200, Nissan Altima, or Dodge Journey. On the other hand, RelayRides is my favorite place to rent cars now, because you can choose exactly the car you want. Some of the cars on RelayRides even have THREE PEDALS!
In the past year, I've rented two manuals and one automatic on RelayRides:

That's all for now, but I'm thinking of posting "rental reviews" of each interesting car that I rent on RelayRides. I'm thinking of renting a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and/or a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . What cars would you like to see me rent and review?

Decided to check out cars on that site in my area and found a GTR, Hummer H1, 550i M Sport and a few manual cars. Not bad.

Always learn on someone else's clutch ...

Perfect. Money no object, I'd start by renting the GTR!
Also, I've found that RelayRides lets you search for "automatic only" but not "manual only." That's like, sexist, or...something. Am I the only one who is wishing for a "manual-only" search feature? :)
BTW, what area are you located in?

I feel like you'd have to be an idiot to rent out your car in general, especially with a stick.
The issue with me learning how to drive stick was the availability of a stick. With this, I can destroy someone else's clutch!

Probably true... I wonder if there are any horror stories about RelayRides renters abusing cars. I've been pretty nice to the cars I've rented, but I'm not sure if I'm normal.
On the other hand, I drive my own cars pretty hard. If I rented my (manual) Fiesta out, its tires would probably get a nice relaxing vacation from my hoonage. :)

I've never had a manual in the States. But in Germany I rented from Avis and ended up with a sweet Mercedes A Class with a manual! Maxed it out on the Autobahn too—all of like 109 miles per hour.

Something with a CVT gearbox? The performance of those have always confused me...

I rented a manual Hyundai ix35 and it was a diesel too! But I am in Germany.

Hmm, Audi has been doing a lot of CVTs lately... I'd be curious to try one. Anything else with a CVT that you suggest I should sample?
